Dimension
Metashima is Dimensions' venture into the world of collectable virtual products. Creating a revolutionary Web3 entertainment experience, in which collectors can customise and interact with their virtual products. Metashima robots are modular and customisable, allowing you to collect, store, and swap with new equipment. They reside in a specially created 3D virtual space, the MAG and serve as your metaverse companions for extraordinary adventures.
I created the graphic language that surrounds Metashima, designing the branding, the website and all of the UI, Social media ads, and banners. As well as handling all these areas, I worked closely with the art and programming team to craft decals for the product and designed the facial expressions to allow users to effectively interact with them in the Metaverse.
THE COLLECTION
The first 4,720 droids, Metashima Lightning, were released by Obsidian Robotics providing an entry point to an exciting roadmap that would unlock new utility and future value for your metaverse endeavours.
EXPRESS YOURSELF
Facial expressions make up a big part of each droid and are essential in communicating with others in the metaverse. Exploring how to convey emotion with just 2 eyes was a challenge but we found the right balance between expression and emojis to effectively communicate through the eyes.
VISUAL ECOSYSTEM
The decals that were put into the Metashima Factory and programmed to be randomly placed on each droid. Futher enhancing the visual language surrounding the product.
SOCIAL PRESENCE
Creating a social presence for Metashima was extremely important for the success of the project. I created an impactful style that celebrated the expression of Metashima and grabbed the attention when needed.
It’s all in the DNA
Eight different DNA types make up the traits and characteristics of Metashima. Each DNA has its own superpower, which had to be communicated via visual design.
DIGITAL SPACES
My role didn’t just stop at social media ads, decals and facial expressions. I also designed the Metashima website and the UI for the Metashima Assembly Garage (MAG) a 3D virtual world in which owners of Metashima can customise and interact with their droids.
3D CRATE DEVELOPMENT
In the early stages of Accessory Pack 1 (AP1) development, I broadened my Blender skills and assisted the team by providing a solution for the accessory pack crate. I created a 3D crate that would illuminate based on which DNA-related accessory was inside.
